The Niemann-Pick disease type C Suspicion Index (NPC-SI) is a practical tool to support healthcare professionals in recognising the signs of NPC and identifying suspected patients for diagnostic testing. The NPC-SI is not a diagnostic tool; definitive diagnostic testing for NPC should take place at the direction of a healthcare professional.
